1 LEDGlow Lighting, LLC • LEDGlow.com Tech Support 856-768-5700 Ext. 2 • TechSupport@LEDGlow.com ® INSTALLATION GUIDE WARNING: THIS PRODUCT IS DESIGNED FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY. PLEASE CHECK YOUR LOCAL AND STATE LAWS FOR THE PROPER USE OF THIS PRODUCT. Every state has different policies and procedures in place regarding aftermarket LED lighting accessories. LEDGlow is not responsible for any fines that you may receive while using this lighting kit. Note: We recommend using a licensed professional to install this lighting kit. The improper installation of this kit will void all warranties. We recommended installing each lighting strip using Adhesion Promoter, which allows for a much stronger bond between the adhesive tape of the light strip and the cleaned mounting surface of your Can Am Spyder. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE INSTALLING AND OPERATING THIS LED SPYDER KIT. SPYDER LIGHTING KIT INCLUDES: • Bluetooth Control Box • (2) 2” Strips • Adhesion Promoter • (2) Wireless Remotes • (2) 4” Strips • Zip Ties • (2) 3pc Power Harness • (6) 6” Strips • (6) Zip Tie Mounts • (2) 6pc Add-On Harnesses • (20) 10” Strips • (2) Crimp-on Ring Terminals • (4) 4pc Add-On Harness • (4) 18” Strips • T-tap Connector • (2) 2pc Add-On Harness • (4) 24” Strips • Crimp on male spade terminal • (2) 3’ Extension • Alcohol Pads • Double-Sided Tape for Control Box 1. Upon receiving your new Spyder lighting kit, we ask that you first test the kit to ensure it is functioning correctly. Plug the male connections from the strips and control box into the female connections of the harnesses. Connect the red power wire to the positive terminal of the battery and the black ground wire to the negative terminal of the battery. Once the wires are temporarily secure, power the kit to ensure full functionality before installing it. (please refer to the pairing instructions starting on page 4) If everything appears to be working correctly, turn the kit off and disconnect the power and ground wires from the battery to prepare for installation. 2. Remove any plastic panels that will be in your way starting with the air cleaner and side panels, most of which are held on with T30 Torx Head bolts and push pin clips. Note: The strips can be mounted in any area that isn’t hot or near moving parts. However, we recommend installing the light strips in a manner that has the left side and the right side on separate zones. This will give a different effect from the dual zone feature that is integrated in the Bluetooth Control Box. 3. Recommended mounting locations: • (2) 24” under the swing arm one on each side • (1) 24” on the right frame rail next to the air box • (2) 18” strips under the front nose • (1) 18” on the right side on the air box lid • (2) 18” on left side frame rail above the exhaust • (4) 10” strips under the control arms on both sides • (2) 10” strips under the lower plastic • (2) 10” both on inside of swing arm • (3) 10” strips on air intake scoops on both sides • (1) 6” behind the shifter • (1) 6” behind the brake pedal • (1) 6” strip above the battery on the left side • (1) 6” under seat handle on the right side • (1) 6” strip on headlight surround on both sides • (1) 4” strip arounnd the horn on the left side • (1) 4” strip under the right headlight • (1) 2” strip on the coil mount on the left side • (1) 2” strip infront of the radiator on the right side 4. 6 LEDGlow Lighting, LLC • LEDGlow.com Tech Support 856-768-5700 Ext. 2 • TechSupport@LEDGlow.com ® INSTALLATION GUIDE Device Pairing Tips & Troubleshooting • Disconnect from the control box when you are not using it to preserve your bike's battery life. You cannot turn off bluetooth within the app. To disconnect from the control box you must exit the app and completely close it out so that the app is no longer running on the phone. Exiting the LEDGlow Motorcycle Control App will not disconnect your iOS device from the controller as the app was designed for multitasking with other apps, such as answering a phone call, or surfing the web and then switching back to the LEDGlow Motorcycle Control App. The same can be done in the Android version by either turning off Bluetooth in the phone's settings app, or by shutting down the app by double tapping on your device’s “Back” button while inside the app. • This control box is designed with a power save mode that automatically turns on after 8 hours of inactivity. This allows the control box to draw minimum power, ensuring it does not drain your Spyder’s battery. It may take an additional minute when attempting to reconnect back to the controller while it is currently in power save mode, if you are using iOS. To prevent any battery drain when not in use, you can install the control box to a 12 volt switched source to completely remove power at your choosing. • If you have Bluetooth switched “On” in your Settings app and the controller is powered, your iOS device will attempt to connect to the controller whenever it is in range. You do not need to pair and manually connect to the controller after the initial setup if you are using the same device. Your Android device will connect once your device pairs to your control box and you open the app. • In the event that your Android/iOS device cannot connect to the controller, try one of the following: ʂ Completely close out of the app and ensure that it is not running in the background on your phone. Then Open the app ʂ Restart your Bluetooth enabled control box by disconnecting power to it for 20 seconds • The control box operates independently from the app. If your Android/iOS device is not available for use, the control box provides full lighting functionality with color, mode, and speed buttons. This kit is designed to fully operate in conjunction with the wireless remote and without the LEDGlow Motorcycle Control App. You cannot save any presets from the remote; therefore, once you reopen the app, the current lighting configuration shown on your device’s screen will be immediately synchronized back to the controller. • You can have only one phone paired to your control box at a time. To pair a different device, disconnect the first device within the device's Bluetooth settings and pair the second device as described on pages 4 or 5, depending on the device's operating system.

Dual Zone Control On/Off The dual zone control feature allows even further color and lighting pattern customization by independently illuminating 2 sections of the Spyder simultaneously. Each zone has the ability to power 500 SMD LEDs for maximum brightness. With an unlimited color selection and 11 unique lighting patterns, creative lighting options are truly endless. 2. Brake Light Function On/Off The automatic brake light feature illuminates all installed LEDs in red mirroring the Spyder’s brake lights, safely signaling other motorists on the road. Pull the brake handle and the brake light feature automatically illuminates red LEDs throughout the bike. This feature can be used whether the Lighting Kit (the control box has power at all times) is powered on or off. Brake light illuminates all LEDs in solid red. Blue wire configuration is required for use of this feature. (See page 2, step #35 for detail on how to wire your control box to use this feature.) 3. Brake Pulse On/Off The Brake Pulse option toggles the functionality of the Brake Light Function with red LED strobes in flashes of three. Blue wire configuration is required for use of this feature. (See page 2, step #35 for detail on how to wire your control box to use this feature.) 4. Hazard Lights On/Off The hazard lights feature automatically overrides any color or pattern and flashes amber LEDs alerting other motorists on the road. 5. Low Voltage Shut Off On/Off The app features a first-of-its-kind low voltage shut off setting that helps conserve the life of the Spyder’s battery. 9 LEDGlow Lighting, LLC • LEDGlow.com Tech Support 856-768-5700 Ext. 2 • TechSupport@LEDGlow.com ® INSTALLATION GUIDE Wireless Remote Functions This kit provides multiple lighting patterns and several brightness levels, which are easily operated using the included wireless remote. The remote includes four buttons, “A, B, C, D” Reprogramming the Wireless Remote: Make sure your Advanced Million Color Control Box with Smartphone Control is powered and the LED status indicator is solid yellow. This will indicate that your control box is now ready to be paired to your device. If the LED status indicator is red, disconnect power and reconnect. When the LED turns yellow, press and hold the A button on the remote for 5 seconds to complete the pairing process. Troubleshooting: If the kit or lights do not appear to operate, first check the installed inline mini fuse. If the fuse is blown, check the wires on the entire kit to ensure they are not cut, pinched, or scorched. If there is no damage to any of the wires and to the control box, replace the fuse and test the kit again. If the inline fuse is intact, clean both the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Corrosion to the battery terminals can cause a poor connection or simulate being disconnected.
