We recommend installing each lighting strip using Adhesion Promoter, which allows for a much stronger bond between the adhesive tape of the light strip and the cleaned mounting surface of your Ryker. Upon receiving your newRyker lighting kit, we ask that you first test the kit to ensure it is functioning correctly. Plug the male connections from the strips and control box into the female connections of the harness. Connect the red power wire to the positive terminal of the battery and the black groundwire to the negative terminal of the battery. Once the wires are temporarily secure, power the kit to ensure full functionality before installing it. If everything appears to be working correctly, turn the kit off and disconnect the power and groundwires from the battery to prepare for installation. 2. Remove any plastic panels that will be in your way startingwith the hood, headlight trim, fuel tank trim, air cleaner and side panels, most of which are held inwith push clips. 3. Be sure to clean all of themounting areas with alcohol prep pads and apply adhesion promoter to the cleaned areas.
